Break Ke Baad : My take on this movie

I had been very adamant on the day I had to move to my home town after staying some eight months at work. I had booked a ticket for Break Ke Baad but the show was called off owing to lack of audience. It was a shock for me as the day happened to be the release day of movie. Though I got skeptical about the movie, I had been stubborn to watch it. Here is what I feel for the movie. Hope you will have a nice time going through this. Comments are always welcome.

1) Star Cast :
The movie’s star cast is I love a lot. Any movie with Deepika Padukone is surely gonna be romantic and simply youth oriented (not sure if I am using the correct word here). Imran and Deepika are quintessential childhood friends. Imran loves her and for her, he is her best friend. a friend in real terms. She gets to conquer her dream and they get involved in a duel. Things go awry for Imran as she goes for her studies in Australia and obviously could not manage time for Imran. The first half is simply fantabulous. In he latter half she also develops a feeling of close proximity and they get together. So four stars from me out of five.

2) Songs :
The songs are all good and are worth listening, rather hummable. So four stars from me out of five.

3) Cinematography :
There is no such a serious or exciting thing to mention about this category. So two stars from me out of five.

4) Choreography :
This category also has not much to mention. This is because the story was different and hence this comment. So two stars from me out of five.

5) Story :
The story is really exciting atleast as far as I am concerned. This is so close to me, that I would watch it again if I get a chance. This movie reminds me clearly of someone very special in my life. The story especially the first half is quite similar to the my story. I just couldnt fathom that my so simple story can be someone else’s too. And I was just on cloud nine. So four stars from me out of five.

6) Acting :
The acting of all he actors is okay especially the gorgeous Deepika. So four stars from me out of five.

About The Movie:
Though I have mentioned quite a bit about this movie, let me tell you a bit more. Deepika plays Aliya Khan, a girl who enjoys life to its full and is so lucky to have her childhood friend Abhay Gulati (Imran). The songs are quite good and the story goes on well. But if you watch it with some expectations in your mind, I am afraid you would dislike it. Its a movie which you can relate yourselves to as I did. Enjoy.

Please comment me your valuable suggestions and your review as well.

CSS can be so interesting?

I could not imagine there could be so much new things implemented in a simple CSS. There are still a myriad of things that are left uncovered, a milestone unconquered. Just read about Sass, an extension of CSS3. Though it is Sassy CSS or Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets, I would call it Sexy CSS. It is HAML equivalent for CSS and comes along with Haml. I tried to have a know how about Haml but met with a little success.
More about the features and details can be found here.

Not only this, there is also something called LESS, Leaner CSS, the details of which can be found here.

I am not very sure about this topic but have posted for I have a terrible memory. More about this will follow soon.

Video Sidebar in WordPress

I came across a plugin which can be used to play videos from various players in WordPress as a widget. The link here is the home page for the main site for this widget. This is used to play embedded flash videos from different video sharing sites (You Tube, Blip, MySpace, et al).

To start using his widget, you just need to install the plugin, activate it and insert the videos you need to play on your site. This insertion is done in the Tiny MCE editor that opens up when you get to the widget area for that particular plugin. Once you are done with the insertion of the video, a small screenshot of the video appears on the space above the details in the editor area. The auto play feature isnt available for videos from some sharing sites.

You need to get the video ID which you need to insert into the space of VideoID while working with this plugin. This Video ID is nothing but the identification code.Video Identification aims for three main goals: accurate identification, choice for copyright holders, and a great user experience. More on Video ID here.

Video ID is normally a set of numerals but it can also be alphanumeric in nature.

Guzarish : A movie for Art admirers

Last evening, it was a pleasure to watch this movie. My review is based upon certain parameters which I feel important for any movie. Hope you have a nice time going through this. Comments are always welcome.

1) Star Cast :
The movie’s star cast is simply fabulous. Hrithik playing the role of a yester-year magician, who gets betrayed by one of his friends, becomes the victim of jealousy and is quadriplegic. But is still an idol for people around. Then Aishwarya plays a nurse dedicated to her master ensures that he still lives a life of dignity. There are hordes of supporting crew as well and the star cast deserves four stars out of five from me.

2) Songs :
The movie has some god songs or proses which are indeed inspiring and hummable as well. But for pure song-lover folks, this area disappoints. The song 100 gram zindigi is good. All the songs, though, are melodious. So, three stars from me.

3) Cinematography :
The movie scores quite high in this category. The camera has been put to use in this movie simply magnificiently. The cinematographer really deserves kudos for this. The movie simply makes you get a blue background. The most fabulous scene is the one where its raining in Goa in the movie. The scene is simply fantabulous . Hence five stars from me.

4) Choreography :
The dance steps are also commendable, though it wont be suitable to a larger audience. So, two stars from me.

5) Story :
This is not about a story line. Its about a social issue, a serious one that needs to be addressed.

6) Acting :
The acting of all he actors is highly commendable and all are lively. So four stars from me.

About The Movie :

The movie is about one of the greatest magicians, Ethan Mascarenhas. But he get to be a victim of the jealousy of one of his friends, Yasir Siddiqui. In the present era, he is a quadriplegic but lively guy who has his radio show radio Zindigi. Aishwarya plays Sophia, who is his nurse and the one who ensures that the legend lives a life of dignity despite of not being able to move. Moreover Ethan’s doctor and his lawyer friend also are commendable in their performances. The movie is worth watching for the performances and the locales. It has been shot in Goa and the beauty shown is just incredible.

I have seen some of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movies and can surely assure you that this one is one of his best. Altogether, I suggest all my readers to get to a theater and watch and enjoy this Sanjay Lela Bhansali’s one of the masterpieces.
I have read some articles in some papers whereby Hrithik has been compared with Jesus and Aishwarya with Mary Magdelene, but surely thats an exaggeration. This one from SLB is indeed enjoyable for those who love art and beauty.
Please comment me your valuable suggestions and your review as well.
Enjoy reading.

Love

Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two …..
               —St. Augustine

I wished for nothing beyond her smile, and to walk with her thus, hand in hand, along a sun-warmed, flower-bordered path.
               —Andre Gide

See there’s this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It’s the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me.
               —Gretchen Kemp

Sometimes your nearness takes my breath away; and all the things I want to say can find no voice. Then, in silence, I can only hope my eyes will speak my heart.
               —Robert Sexton

Within you I lose myself. Without you I find myself wanting to become lost again.

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it dosent, then it was never meant to be.

I dont know why they call it heartbreak. It feels like every part of my body is broken too.
               —Chloe Woodward

Love is a gross exaggeration of the difference between one person and everybody else.
               —George Bernard Shaw
